Respected musician and guitar teacher Arthur Deacon performing on his 1954 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Guitar - quite possibly the first Les Paul Gold Top imported into South Africa (Photograph circa 1958).
Early memories which helped to encourage an interest in music included watching and listening to my father practising on his guitar (I was fortunate to have dad as a guitar teacher during those early years). Arthur Deacon performed on the Les Paul guitar until 1969 when he sold the instrument.
